This is a placeholder for now, but it has a minimal demo of how one would go about obtaining full 2D wavelength + spatial solutions, e.g., as is done with IRAF's reidentify.
We need a different demo data set to really get this right, so I recommend not merging this, but instead use this PR as a site for discussion of next steps.
